SUSPENDED secretary for Department of Agriculture and Livestock Daniel Kombuk has applied to the National Court seeking to stay a National Executive Council’s decision to suspend his appointment on July 22. Kombuk is seeking a stay of his suspension prior to being allowed by the court to judiciary review the decision of his suspension.
The State through lawyer Kevin Kipongi, of Office of the Solicitor-General, advised the court on Wednesday when the case was listed that the State would be opposing the stay application.
Deputy Chief Justice Ambeng Kandakasi will hear the stay application tomorrow at the Waigani National Court.
