Kone Tigers agree to be feeder club for Lae Tigers

THE Kone Tigers rugby league club will be the feeder club to the Lae Snax Tigers.
Lae Biscuit Company marketing manager for the Port Moresby office Lacey Ori announced this yesterday at the Port Moresby Rugby League’s office at the Oil Search National Football Stadium together with Kone Tigers patron Joe Wemin, president Tommy Angau and other clubofficials.
Angau said the players who wanted to play for the Lae Tigers in the Digicel Cup next year and the years to come now had a pathway through the Kone Tigers.
“This partnership between the Lae Tigers and the Kone Tigers gives players in Port Moresby a clear pathway to the Digicel Cup because we are now a feeder to the Snax Tigers,” Angau said.
He said the Kone Tigers are one of the established clubs in the Port Moresby league and had players who had played for the city’s various inter-city teams.
Angau thanked Lae Biscuit Company for their K50,000 sponsorship for the club adding that it would boost the their season and looking forward to next year.
“The money we’ve got and the support we have from the Lae Biscuit Company will help us be a stronger, better club, giving our players opportunities to pursue their dreams and goals.”
