Kos appeals for help

 A WESTERN Highlands man living in the National Capital District is appealing for financial assistance to undergo medical treatment in the Philippines to save his life.

John Kos (pictured), from Paglum village in Mul-Baiyer, is a father of five and works for the Port Moresby General Hospital.

Acting director of the Sir Buri Kidu Heart Foundation Dr Jack Amana, who treated Kos, recommended him for the  kidney operation overseas.

He said Kos was a known patient with chronic high blood pressure and who was evaluated and treated with anti-hypertensive medications.

The initial kidney scan showed a huge right kidney cystic mass which caused kidney failure. 

Amana said Kos was evaluated by the urology team and advised to have the kidney operation urgently.

He needs K45,000 for the operation at the St Luke Hospital in Manila, the Philippines.
