AUGUSTINE Koupa will lead Saints as they hunt for their second win against Tamaraws in the Port Moresby Basketball Association competition at the Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Centre tonight.
Saints coach Lawrence Lahari told The National that Koupa would be crucial to their round-two clash (7pm tip-off).
“We will be counting on players like Koupa, Garry Suva and Enoch Vele to lead our young team,” he said.
Saints will look to continue their form from last week’s 32-31 win over Chariots in the men’s premier division.
Lahari has retained a strong line-up from last week with Koupa, Suve, Vele, Oala Maniana and Lewis John expected to start.
Meanwhile, Saints are looking to rebound from last week’s 12-41 loss to Chariots in the women’s division. Lahari said his side would look to feed off the experience of Cindy Elavo and veteran Nape Waka when they face Ultimax.
“We have a new-look team,” he said.
“It’s great to have Waka back to boost our morale along with netball international Neritha Nadula and Maimu Kala. Our game plan is to stay open and look for fast breaks,” said Lahari.
