PAPUA New Guinean engineering and project management company Kramer Ausenco (KA) has been recognised in the Boston Society of Architects Design Awards 2014 for its work on the Enga provincial hospital.

Kramer Ausenco received a citation from the BSA, for its consultancy role with American architects Shepley Bulfinch, and the design of the hospital under the Unbuilt Architecture and Design category.

The Unbuilt Architecture and Design Jury of the BSA, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects, described the Enga Provincial Hospital design as sophisticated and restrained.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill congratulated Kramer Ausenco saying “Once again this leading PNG engineering and project management company has lifted Papua New Guinea’s image internationally. Our government is proud of

this achievement by Kramer Ausenco.”

KA chief executive officer Frank Kramer said the firm was providing comprehensive engineering design and documentation services through a suite of engineering disciplines for the project.

He thanked Shepley Bulfinch for its partnership.

Health Minister Michael Malabag  commended Kramer Ausenco and Shepley Bulfinch on the high standards they had brought to the project.
