KTA mulls operator’s licence

Business, Normal

THE Kokoda Track Authority (KTA) has announced plans to introduce a commercial operator’s licence, designed to regulate companies and/or individuals who provide tourism-related services within the Kokoda Track corridor.
The licence will ensure that operators are bound by a series of safety and operational regulations designed to protect trekkers, porters, guides and track communities.
In recent years, the Kokoda Track has developed into one of PNG’s fastest growing tourism icons and continues to inspire thousands of international visitors each year to visit our Nation and experience the history and challenges associated with the 96km journey.
