Kumbakor knows what he is doing for agro sector

Letters, Normal

Andrew Kumbakor had a brief stint with the Agriculture and Livestock portfolio while incumbent minister John Hickey was on sick leave and in that short time, it was like getting a shot of adrenaline.
During that short time, the Agriculture Department and the whole sector came alive with activity.
Everyone seemed to have woken up from a long slumber.
While in acting capacity, Mr Kumbakor showed he had a vision for the agriculture sector when everyone else was looking at the short-term gain LNG project.
Agriculture is here to stay and it stands to gain from the LNG project if plans are now put in place.
Now is the best time for PNG to build its agriculture infrastructure, so that it can become self-sustaining in the future.
