Kupiano health centre state sickening

Letters

MY recent visit home has prompted me to write on behalf of the silent majority people regarding the current state of Kupiano health centre.
I write with disappointment as a Velerupu local.
I cannot continue to see my people suffer and die due to lack of proper medical services.
The new district hospital was to be funded by the Oil Search Tax Credit scheme for K15 million some years ago.
This is a lot of money and what saddens me is the current state of the health centre stands today.
Mothers and sick people have been continuously referred to Port Moresby General Hospital for medical treatment.
Kupiano should be the role model in terms of health service because my member was a former Secretary for Health & former Minister for Health & HIV in the O’Neill Government.
