Kutubu man aids B-Team
The National, Tuesday 28th Febuary 2012
AN eco-tourism company from Lake Kutubu in Southern Highlands province has come to the aid of The B-Team PNG for the launching of their movie project next month.
Principal landowner for Kutubu and Moran Oil and gas project licensed areas and the owner of Hegigo River Lodge Paul Yawe donated K5,000.
He said the concept of showcasing PNG on the world map especially in the film industry “is a superb way to lure foreign investments”.
Yawe, when presenting the money, asked country manager Stanley Nandex to include several wonders and unique landscape, waterfalls, flora and fauna of Kutubu in some scenes of the production of the movie.
“Known as the biggest lake in the South Pacific, the beautiful Lake Kutubu with its unique underwater marine life is a sleeping giant,” he said.
“It has huge potential for filming of any water actions that the movie’s cast and directors might want to explore.”
Yawe, on behalf of the people of Kutubu and the Helas, invited B-Team PNG to go to Kutubu to shoot some of the scenes in the movie.
He appealed to other business houses for support.
