Lack of a reading society leads to democracy failure

TWO factions of political groups have alleged their legitimacy and continue to cling on to power.
Parliamentary protocols have been made a mockery of and our judiciary brushed aside as a mere mediator with little jurisdiction to interpret our Mama Lo.
We have had decisions by our national executives that were revoked because someone failed to consult the big boss.
Leaders are not supposed to be weak, but ours are.
We have had numerous suspensions of national leaders and allegations have even begun to spread about the possible sacking of the electoral commissioner.
Who else is more qualified to lead our country into election than Andrew Trawen?
At the pace our country is going, one can say we are on the verge of a democracy failure.
To those who think otherwise and who continue to support an illegitimate government, however enticing their policies may be, I recommend Joseph Sebarenzi’s book God sleeps in Rwanda.
Read to broaden your knowledge and look at things from a global perspective to recognise the signs.
PNG not only needs Christians, lawyers and accountants but we need people who can read and govern on accountability and transparency.
Happy reading PNG!
