THE lack of communication developments have hampered the flow of information between some rural police station and urban areas,
Kompiam police station commander Joe
Aikel says.
Aikel said he had not received any report on an alleged fight between two tribal groups in Enga last week.
He said this was because of the remoteness of the area.
“The two tribes are in the Lapolama-Yangis local level government areas which is very remote and isolated.”
He said communication and infrastructure developments had been lacking in those LLGs for so long. News do not reach them quickly.
Aikel said people are also finding it hard to move because of fear of election-related violence.
