THE Lae-based Lae Biscuit Company is the new sponsor of the Kone Tigers rugby league club.
Company national marketing manager Justus Rapula presented a cheque for K10,000 and two sets of uniforms worth K20,000 to Kone Tigers RLC sponsor and former Master Mak Rangers franchise sponsor Kelly Aiyok yesterday.
Rapula said that it was the company’s ongoing commitment to sports to establish relations throughout the country.
Through the Snax brand, “the company stretches its wings as a leading corporate body to assist communities whenever possible,” Rapula said.
“It is not by chance that the company decided to give what it gives today but it matches and fits the two RL teams sharing the same name Tigers,” he said.
The company invests in church, youth and women group’s activities including non-governmental organisations promoting relationships, equality, sharing and caring for the dignity of one another as human beings,” he said.
“It is amazing to see Snax investing in sports, especially rugby league and that reflects the reality of how the heart of a corporate citizen feels for the community,” Aiyok said.
