A CHURCH group from Lae, Morobe is stranded in Alotau, Milne Bay, after attending a three-week Christmas gathering.
The Historical Seventh-Day Adventist Church annual gathering at Alotau was attended by participants from Madang, Eastern Highlands, Chimbu, Western Highlands, Morobe, the National Capital District and Central.
Law and order chairman of Ward One in the Lae Urban LLG area and president of Bundi Camp, Elson Goro, said the group went by boat and PMV and walked part of the way to reach their destination in Alotau.
“Some of us travelled by boat and other means of transport to get there, especially the older members while the youths, led by Pastor Brett Henry Hevare, travelled by boat to Oro and by foot to Alotau,” Goro said. A total of 19 youths had to cross large deltas by rafts, boats or canoes in a journey that took them from Morobe to Northern, parts of Abau in Central and then to Alotau.
The meeting looked at end time messages from the books of Daniel and Revelation in which God tells his people that his coming is approaching fast.
