LAE Cricket Association rookies Sirovai recently received a new set of apparel from Pacific Cargo Services with their inclusion now bringing the number of Twenty-20 clubs to six.
The other clubs are Unitech, Friends, Raukele, Hoods and Rest of the World.
Interim Sirovai president Egi Trudi thanked the association and NKW Group, through their Pacific Cargo Services subsidiary, for presenting the club with new apparel.
“At the moment, we are competing in just one division, which is the A Grade,” he said.
“Next season, we will have two more teams, our women’s and B-Grade sides.
“We’re a new club and are still getting used to the game.
“So far, we haven’t won any games but we remain hopeful of recording positive results in our upcoming games.
“We’re hoping to win at least one game before the end of the season.”
Pacific Cargo Services branch manager Diana Eremas said it was the first time that they had sponsored cricket.
She said they were looking forward to the outcome of the sponsorship over the next few years.
“We have attired all the clubs with Sirovai being the latest,” Eremas said.
