At Lae’s Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium, the first match will be between Morobe United FC and Laiwaden (12.30pm kick-off) while the main fixture will see 2018 NSL runner-up Besta PNG United facing newcomers Snax Lahi United at 3pm.
The other Northern Conference NSL game will have Markham travelling on the highway to Madang to play against Tusbab Stallions.
In Lae, Morobe United — who went down to Toti City 3-1 last week — will be looking to get the job done against Laiwaden.
Morobe United’s coach Daino Semi said the team had been working on the areas that let the them down last week.
“We have been working on our midfield and defence,” Semi said.
The Morobe United had recruited former Madang FC player Vincent Worio to be part of the team in this year’s NSL competition.
Meanwhile, Lahi United chairman and franchise owner Geob Gariki said they had been working on their midfield and attack throughout the week.
“These two areas need improvement if we want to stay in the competition and win games,” Gariki said.
