Interim president Roger Laka has warned the 24 teams in the Hohola Offseason Rugby League display good sportsmanship, and refrain from violence on and off the field.
He issued the warning following two on-field incidents last weekend, which resulted in match officials being assaulted.
Laka said in players from the Gordons Spartans and Surinki Samu Raiders assaulted the match officials in their respective fixtures.
“The cases of the two teams were referred to the match review committee,” Laka said.
“They handed down the decisions stating that the Spartans and Raiders were to be penalised and wins awarded to their respective opponents, irrespective of the scores.
“Players in these two teams who were cited for throwing punches at the referees and touch judges have been suspended.”
Laka warned all clubs to educate their players about ill-discipline.
