Lalaga passes away while holidaying in Fiji

ANOTHER prominent Bougainvillean has died.
Alphonse Lalaga passed away on Christmas Eve while on holidays in Fiji.
The late Lalaga was with his family when he collapsed in his room at the Holiday Inn in Suva, and died.
The cause of his death is not known at this stage.
His family and the body are still in Fiji.
Lalaga ran the Millennium Corporation during the U-Vistract days and left when operations of pyramid money schemes were declared illegal and banned by the Central Bank.
He was from Sovele in the Bana district.
He left behind his wife and three children.
Meanwhile, another prominent Bougainvillean, who died last week, was buried in his village near Panguna last weekend.
Minister for natural resources in the Autonomous Bougainville Government Dr Benedict Pisi passed away at his residence on Sohano Island last Tuesday afternoon after a long illness.
Dr Pisi, a Panguna landowner, played a leading role in uniting the Panguna landowners under one association and one executive.
