The Moitaka Wildlife Sanctuary land will soon be re-developed to construct an office accommodation and a staff home ownership scheme project of about 200 houses.
Dynasty Development Limited was awarded the contract by the State under a land swap arrangement which the value of the land would be given as consideration for the development of the Moitaka Sanctuary.
Governor-General Sir Michael Ogio on behalf of the State, signed a heads of agreement contract along with Dynasty Development Limited executive directors Ivan Lu and Nathaniel Ho last week.
The approved value of the contract is not provided as it would be fully financed by the developer Dynasty Development Limited.
The Moitaka Sanctuary is under the care of the Conservation and Environment Protection Authority managing director Gunther Joku who was present to witness the ceremony.
Joku said the heads of agreement were consistent with the authority’s intention to re-develop the Moitaka Wildlife Sanctuary land.
The Moitaka redevelopment project will commence once all outstanding approvals required by law are obtained from the relevant authorities including the National Capital District Physical Planning Board and Department of Lands and Physical Planning, among others.
