WAFI-Golpu mine landowners in Bulolo, Morobe, have been urged not to politicise development of the mining project.
Hidden Valley Nakuwi Landowners Association chairman Rex Mauri alleged that some politicians were trying to involve themselves in the project.
Mauri said Wafi-Golpu landowners must be careful in dealing with the right people so that maximum project benefits can reach them.
It was revealed at a recent two-day mining forum in Lae that Hidden Valley landowners had not benefitted well from the mine there.
