Lands minister challenged

Letters

THE Lands minister is starting at a snail’s phase and is yet to get things in order.
It is almost three months and files are still sitting in his office that need just his signature for the process to be completed.
Every document in a file is checked and signed by managers, directors etc prior to it getting the ministerial endorsement by the minister putting just a signature.
We do not know why the minister’s office is keeping all files, sabotaging the flow of the administrative process. There are other files sitting in the acting secretary Oswald Tolopa’s office.
They are both confused as to who should sign the documents.
It is obvious that the minister has the powers so Tolopa should release the files.
Why hold the entire nation at ransom because of incompetency or lack of communications.
Another issue that is yet to be addressed is the Justin Tkatchenko legacy. Some files are alleged to be missing. We the simple people are suffering because some of those in authority continue to drive their selfish and greed agendas first before anyone else.
How can we take back PNG if there are incompetent people entrusted to very important positions?
Prime Minister James Marape should direct responsible persons to address these very serious issues.
