Lands official appears in court

 A WOMAN appeared in the Waigani Committal Court yesterday charged with abuse of office while working for the Department of Lands and Physical Planning at Waigani.

Mori Kegana, 57, from Uritai village, Malalaua district, Gulf, is alleged to have abused her authority as an allocation manager with the department and subdivided land known as Allotment 2, Section 356, Rainbow, Hohola, into Portion 662 and 663. 

She is alleged to have committed the offence on Oct 26 last year.

Presiding magistrate Cosmas Bidar said how the actual offence was committed by Kegana remained to be seen. Kegana is on a K1,000 police bail and will appear for mention on Nov 21.
