THE people of the Kumun and Koboibus ward council area in the Yangoru-Saussia district, East Sepik, are appealing for help.
They wanted the provincial government, through the division of agriculture and livestock in Wewak, to inspect their food gardens that have been damaged by a landslide caused by heavy rain last
 weekend.
Pastor Arnold Swaiya, of the Assemblies of God church at Koboibus, said heavy rain had caused the landslide that damaged their gardens and cocoa blocks.
Swaiya said 60 families had lost their garden , food crops and more than 1,000 cocoa tress had been destroyed.
A report had been documented and will be finalised soon for relevant authorities to act upon.
