Lankan stars in for bash

FORMER Sri Lanka cricket captain and 1996 World Cup winner Arjuna Ranatunga, pictured, and Sri Lankan opening batsman Asanka Gurusinha will participate at the annual The Pacific MMI & MVIL-sponsored “Don’t Drink & Drive” Legends Big Bash next month.
Cricket PNG will host a gala dinner in Port Moresby and Lae where fans and players will have a chance to hear some great insight from the former international cricket stars.
Ranatunga and Gurusinha have been confirmed for the event along with former Australian fast bowlers, Andy Bichel, who has coached PNG previously, and Queensland State cricket legend Carl Rackermann.
Cricket PNG general manager Greg Campbell said he was excited that the annual bash had attracted another lot of cricket stars who would help promote the sport and the issue of drinking driving.
