Laws on drunks too lenient

Despite the initiatives and attempts by the government to address the problems caused by the consumption of alcohol, the increase of intoxicated men on the streets and public places is causing fear and terror for our mothers and young women in NCD.
The police and NCDC must address this problem and new strategies are needed to minimise alcohol-related problems.
I have some suggestions:
* Legislate new laws that will allow only major hotels and nightclubs to sell alcohol;
* Ban the sale and distribution of alcohol by shops and mini-bottle outlets. Restrict the sale of alcohol by SP Brewery and other alcohol producers and importers to only hotels and nightclubs;
* Those caught drinking in public places be imprisoned without bail and jailed for a minimum of three months with hard labour;
*Police must patrol the streets and every corner, especially weekends, and given power to belt up drunks who challenge them; and
*Impose a 10% tariff on every bottle of alcohol sold.
Get rid of alcohol.
