Lawyer: I was attacked by intruder

A LAWYER received injuries to his face and ears after being attacked by an intruder at his home in Tokorara last Saturday.
Benny Takin, a lawyer with BT Gobu and  Associates, was seriously injured when the man, who is known to him, entered the premises and attacked him in his room.
The incident took place at around 2am when Takin was in bed. The man had entered his premises with another person.
Takin said he did not know why he was attacked.
No comments could be obtained from the police to confirm the attack.
Takin said they would have killed him if his two sons had not come to his aid.
The alleged crime was committed by a person whom Takin had been looking after in his home for almost a year.
“The alleged crime was committed by someone I fed and accommodated,” he said.
A report was filed with the police at Boroko and investigations are being carried out.
