Lawyer sponsors volleyball competition for youths in Moresby North-East

THE principal of a law firm has extended his generosity to Moresby North-East youths by sponsoring a volleyball competition in the electorate in the nation’s capital.
Wantok Legal Group principal Charles Mende said sports was a catalyst for change among youths.
“I have been sponsoring the competition for a while now,” he said. “Volleyball is a great sport that brings youths and elders together.
“In this competition that a few of my officials are running, we have men and women participating alongside youths in the district.
“With the escalating law and order problems, unemployment and the Covid-19 pandemic, such activities will keep citizens occupied, safe and healthy.”
Mende said K30,000 worth of prizes had been given to the participating teams.
