PANGIA leaders have condemned the recent deaths of three men attacked on suspicion of black magic.
They said the incident had shocked the normally peaceful district and appealed to the communities to uphold Christian principles and respect the law.
Community leader and local businessman Timothy Titipu,  former MP Pundia Kange, village chief Angula Weleme, Daniel Piepo and Benny Ipia contributed money and pigs for a reconciliation ceremony.
Titipu gave K5,000 while leaders from Maia village contributed K2,000 and pigs although they were not a  party to the killings.
The reconciliation ceremony was organised to cool down the tense situation and also to warn the locals about the worsening law and order situation.
