Leaders conduct in Parliament

Letters

AS a young PNG citizen I write with disbelief, regret, embarrassment, shame, sorrow and frustration on the unprofessional, unethical and irrational conducts of our so-called leaders in the floor of Parliament.
Shouting, yelling, swearing, threatening and personally attacking each other in floor of our sacred National Parliament was really unbecoming of leaders and called into question the integrity, calibre and intelligence of our leaders in the Parliament.
The continuous primitive actions and very emotional conducts of certain leaders portray a very negative image of this young country and doing injustice to the majority of voiceless people.
If watched closely from the outset; the dramas and actions of the so-called leaders are like little immature babies fighting over lollies or I could say stray dogs fighting for bones.
Such cargo-cult, primitive, egoistic, immature, unprofessional and emotional actions and conducts are irrelevant and lest expected in current time and age.
We are in the 21st Century and moving to the 22nd Century where decisions are made rationally, ethically, sensibly and professionally with free conscience, maturity and responsibility.
With such actions of the politicians it obviously implies that under the pretext of fighting for the national interest of the country, in fact they are fighting for their own personal interests driven by grudges, envy, hatred, greed and ego.
What a shameful and insulting actions!
Nevertheless my plea to the leaders is that please allow spirit of forgiveness, common sense, decency, respect, maturity and free conscience to prevail in these very critical times going forward for the common good of this richly blessed young nation if you have a genuine concern.
