REPRESENTATIVES from the government and the Autonomous Bougainville government (ABG) are meeting in Kokopo, East New Britain.
The joint supervisory body (JSB) meeting started yesterday with technical teams from both sides discussing and agreeing on the agenda for the JSB meeting proper that will be convened today.
Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Inter-Government Relations, Leo Dion will be arriving today to chair the meeting with Autonomous Bougainville Government vice- president Patrick Nisira.
Among issues on the agenda are the 2014 ABG budget; a special intervention fund; restoration and development grants; transfer of powers for the Bougainville Public Service and Bougainville Mining Act and a memorandum of agreement between the national government and ABG on capacity building.
