THE leadership of the country should be served based on convictions on principles of love, care and respect for human dignity with fear in God, Opposition leader Don Polye says.

At the launch of two bridges at Darling and ADO compound in Wau, Morobe, Polye said leaders should not serve because of money.

“Instead, serve with determination and dedication to society with moral obligations based on values and principles in the Bible, and taking into consideration the Melanesian principles of social security,” he said.

Polye was accompanied by Kikori MP Mark Maipakai and Eastern Highlands Governor Julie Soso to the opening of the projects by local MP Sam Basil on Monday.

Polye outlined the eight policies of the alternate (Opposition) government.

He stressed that the creation of skills-agriculture driven industry would ensure that unemployed people were engaged productively to put money into their pockets.

“Skills agriculture, means we will develop human skills in capacities by enhancing them through training while industries of such will be created to allow people involve in various agricultural activities,” Polye said.

He said locations in developing industries were identified throughout the country.

He told people not to forgo wise and notable Melanesian principles of social security in loving and caring for others.

“We, as the alternate government, are very mindful to deliver to the country the principle and value-guided government to ensure people benefit from utilising available resources in a meaningful manner.”

Polye is the open member for Kandep, Enga.
