MINISTER for Treasury and National Alliance Party leader Patrick Pruaitch told Mamose leaders to remain together and focused to address developmental challenges within the region.

Pruaitch said that the NA Party encouraged its members to perform effectively in essential services delivery for people’s betterment.

“Providing positive development into the communities enhances changes in human mindset for the better,” he said.

“Thus, we needed a Mamose-based party to encourage the spirit of service delivery. NA will work together with Christian Democratic Party to realign service delivery policies to alleviate human needs.”

Pruaitch made these remarks when opening Dangke market at 41-Mile along the highway in Huon Gulf district, Morobe, last Wednesday.

He said that building of a modern market along the national highway reflected a significant milestone  because it was ideally located to benefit from the Wafi-Golpu mine.

Pruaitch encouraged local women to be involved meaningfully in selling their produce as well as in small to medium enterprises fulfilling government policies to enhance the local economy.

Among other policies the NA Party engineered was move to get ward councillors, peace officers and land mediators on the payroll which was adopted by the current government.

“When the economy becomes stable, NA will ensure that the Government will reinstate the previous figure (K500,000) of LLGSIP funds from the current (K100,000) figure,” he said.

Pruaitch also assured local landowners in Wafi-Golpu mine that he was the author of the submission of the pre-mining development paper to national executive council (NEC).

He encouraged Huon Gulf people to get organised into registered and affiliated groups recognised by the Investment Promotion Authority to be involved in the development activities.

“Get mobilised, rise up and become part of the challenge as we cannot live the way we are today for the rest of our lives,” he said.
