It was to assess the way forward for the tribunal as certain proposals had been made by the parties.
Simon, recently appointed the Agriculture and Livestock Minister, is being represented by Philip Tabuchi from Young and William’s Lawyers.
The Public Prosecutor Pondros Kaluwin is expected today to present the statement of reasons to Simon.
Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika when announcing the appointment of the tribunal recently – said the allegations against Simon were related to some funding “but that is not for me to tell you now as it would be properly put before the tribunal”.
Kaluwin had requested Sir Gibbs on Sept 7 last year to set up the tribunal.
