THE League Bilong Laif (LBL) programme conducted a Holiday Clinic with students from various schools in NCD in Port Moresby last week.
Students accompanied by parents turned up early at the Sir John Guise Stadium to participate in the special event.
A total of 88 primary school students attended — 33 were girls.
On hand to assist at the clinic was Nestle, who has recently teamed up with LBL to help deliver the programme through branding with their Milo products.
They gave balls and drinks.
NRL regional offices in Goroka, Kokopo and Bougainville will also deliver their holiday clinics.
League Bilong Laif Holiday Clinics are aimed at engaging students in rugby league skills development, drills and fun games with key messaging during school term breaks.
The sessions are run by NRL game development officers and use rugby league to encourage children to develop positive behaviours.
The day started off with students listening to key messages from development officers.
The officers spoke on the importance of staying in school and respecting self and others.
