THE PNG Rugby League Referees Association will be looking lifting their performance for next year’s semi-professional competition in the country.
Association president Guma Opi said this yesterday when announcing the association’s annual general meeting set for Sunday at the Lloyd Robson Oval.
Opi said more effort should be put into equipping rugby league referees with basic rules and guidelines
A refereeing clinic has been set for January to improve the skills of the current referees registered under the association.
Young referees who are interested in taking charge of games during the be-mobile Cup next season are urged to attend.
A K20 will be charged for those intending to attend.
Opi has urged referees who are members and non-members to attend the AGM.
