TICKETS for Sunday’s Intrust Super Cup round 19 Country Week clash between the SP Hunters and Norths Devils in Lae are on sale today.
PNGRFL chief executive Reatau Rau said the tickets go on sale from 9am at Brian Bell and Foodmart in Lae and Andersons at Eriku.
The cost per ticket is K50.
“This covers all the stands and the grass areas at the Lae Rugby League ground,” Rau said.
Rau the cost covered adults and children.
“Every person that enters the ground, whether a child or an adult must purchase a ticket. There is no separate price for children.” He said hosting the Country Week game in Lae was expensive and the K50 price per ticket was fair.
“This is the first appearance for the SP Hunters in Lae and taking this Intrust Super Cup game out of Port Moresby is costly. Therefore we believe K50 per person will cover the costs,” Rau said.
Rau said companies/organisations wishing to purchase tickets in bulk could contact the reception at Prima on 4721166 for details.
He said there were security features on the tickets to prevent counterfeiting.
“The tickets have security features on them and will be scanned on entry so there is no room for cheating,” he said.
He urged the public to buy tickets early as there would be no sales at the gate on Sunday.
Gates at the Lae Rugby League ground open at 9am on Sunday.
The first game will be the round 16 Digicel Cup match between the Lae Snax Tigers and Enga Mioks which kicks off at 12.15pm.
The main game between Hunters and Brisbane’s Norths Devils for the Q-Cup’s ‘Get In The Game Country Week’ kicks off at 3pm.
Both games will be televised live by on TVWAN.
