Leave fares still a mess

TEACHERS’ leave fare issues in the National Capital District need to be addressed.
There are huge deductions from leave fares allocated to a teacher.
We have been verbally informed by our NCD leave fare coordinator that all our leave fares have been processed and will be facilitated as requested, but not everyone has received this.
Our travel agent of choice was not considered. Instead we were put into different travel agencies, many of whom charged more
The list of teachers’ leave fares pinned on the noticeboard does not have the cheque number, which creates an avenue for manipulation by those who wish to dip their fingers into other people’s pocket.
With due respect to the hard-working officers from TSC who ensure that we receive our leave fare, I would want, on behalf of the many affected teachers, to request for an audit of the receipts of the original cheque butts and the list put up by the NCD leave officer.
