Less development

Letters

SINCE 2012 up until now, our past and present leaders have ignored Burns Peak, despite the fact that it is located in the heart of National Capital District.
In my view, Burns-peak is at the centre of nation’s capital and population has dramatically increased up to 10,000 plus in present.
It is the portion of Moresby North-West electorate and has its own council ward.
Despite the tangible services everywhere in the capital city, Burns Peak is no way near to expect as such development in terms of road dealing and water supply which is a basic needs especially for people in the urban settlements like Burns Peak.
During the previous general elections there was a lot of hype and unfulfilled promises made by our past and present responsible leaders of this electorate, since then nothing has been accomplished by these conductors.
On that note, it is unpleasant to the whole public and visitors from other countries to gaze broken roads and dusty streets of burns-peak, as it is the centre of the nation’s capital.
I’m calling on MP Sir Mekere Morauta and NCD Governor Powes Parkop to at least consider and seal the Burns Peak road.
