Lest we forget

Letters

EVERY decision you make has a consequence, either in a group or as an individual.
For example, let’s look at the tribunal decision over Vanimo Green MP Belden Namah’s case of misconduct in office.
I see Namah as a true icon of Papua New Guinea despite his current situation.
He is a leader who speaks with a strong voice to say what he thinks is right for this nation.
I write about him because he serves this country with passion and pride.
He did two things that have shaped our future today:

  • He served during the Sandline saga as a Papua New Guinea Defence Force soldier; and
  • He pushed for the O’Neill/Namah coalition to unseat the Somare government.

Nama has had the heart to support the churches’ mission work in the country.
Politics has power to turn a person upside down or cripple them using money or authority.
Lest we forget his deeds as he fight for justice.
