Let’s cheer for our Pacific neighbours

 FELLOW Papua New Guineans, we all know this is our time but let’s cheer for our Pacific neighbours as well.

It was wonderful cheering for the home team in the basketball, weightlifting and swimming events but let’s acknowledge our visitors when they achieve a feat too. 

Let them remember us for acknowledging and sharing their success too. 

We want them to leave with fond memories. Why not make them feel at home here by cheering for them too.

It may not be as loud as for our home grown champs making it fair will be very nice. 

Maybe scream with joy and enthusiasm for our teams but at least a clap and hooray for our visiting athletes will be wonderful.

Balance the act for our guests and let’s not only be wonderful hosts but fair and considerate too.
