I READ with keen interest the current tussle over the Hela’s governor’s post between Anderson Aigiru and Francis Potape and couldn’t understand why political leaders are fighting over positions when the next 2017 general elections is only a few months away. What will Potape achieve in this remaining 17 months before the next general elections? Why not leave the incumbent governor to complete his term and challenge him in the upcoming elections rather the using the provincial assembly members who may be filled with vested interest to oust Aigiru while claiming to represent the people’s interest.
