Let police perform their job
The National, Thursday 29th March 2012
WHEN Timothy Moere Sarri filed an official police report as a citizen, law enforcers must do what they are constitutionally mandated to do.
The nation is waiting to hear why the chief justice has ordered that the K213,069.90 be paid into the NJSS trust account.
If he continues to hide under the stay order, rather than coming out to clear himself in an open court, he might as well resign because it is hypocritical to try to remove a speck of dust in another man’s eye when you have a log in your own.
If the police are restrained by the courts from prosecuting what seems to be a criminal offence, all other similar cases in PNG must be given stay orders, so there would be no prosecutions.
Or perhaps, dissolve the constitutional powers of the police and let the judiciary do everything.
