Let us work together

THE package revealed for Manus by the Australian high commissioner and Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is what I
call “missing the point”.
For an educated Ma­nusian, the package, in terms of infrastructure, is not an immediate need although we appreciate the good gesture.
What the Manus people want is business spin-offs that would bring cash income opportunities.
Do not treat Manus people like an animal in a cage, let us have some choice of what we think are in the best interest of our people instead of dictating us.
Please let us work together on equal footing for the sake of mutual interest and benefits.
