Numu praised: AS a true son of Eastern Highlands, I salute my Governor Peter Numu’s decision to be part of the Opposition in the current 10th National Parliament. I also appreciate the decision made by Okapa MP Saki Soloma who walked out from the PNC Party. The restriction was removed by Supreme Court in 2010. MPs are allowed to move from party to party at their own free will. There is no law stopping them.
Be a great leader like James Marape, Tari Pori MP and Esa’ala Open MP Davis Steven who left behind their ministries to put this nation’s interest first.

Voted by the people: All the parliamentary members have been voted in by the people, the voters. The people are the bosses and the Members of Parliament are their servants, therefore, the servants (MP) must listen to the orders of their bosses (the people), not the political parties, nor the head of the political parties, nor the prime minister, nor the leader of the opposition and certainly not the individual MP’s decision. As for the VONC, all MPs must return to their electorates/provinces, back to the people who voted them in and seek their advice and orders on which way they should vote. The people of PNG, do not forget that we are the bosses and we must direct our servants, the MPs which way to vote in any matters proposed at the floor of Parliament, including the VONC.

Unstable situation: Papua New Guinea is facing the big disturbance and unstable situation due to talks of a looming vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister Peter O’Neill. I think the general public should not take the matter into their own hands but let the will be done. All activities like, schools, business, health, sports, and daily activities must resume as usual. We (PNG) take politics and sports as our birth rights and fight to the end to satisfy our anger. This is not a way it supposed to be, we must all cooperate to pray and put our queries and worries to the hands of God so he can make his choice to choose a shepherd to lead us according to his will. Never get tempted to take unnecessary action to spoil the good name of our country.
