Nepotism claim:
ON page 17 of The National (Aug 14) a report stated that BPNG (Bank of Papua New Guinea) gave K50,000 to Mt Ulawun victims of West New Britain where Governor Loi Bakani comes from.
Why didn’t he do that to volcano victims of Manam and Kadawar islands who faced similar disasters? This is clear sign of wantok system (nepotism).

DOUBLE STANDARD

Good leadership:
POLICE Minister Bryan Kramer has demonstrated that the main reason for getting elected into Parliament is to provide good and strong leadership.
He tells us that Parliament is not a place to wear two hats. Many Parliamentarians enter poor and come out rich.
He is determined to see Papua New Guineans progress and enjoy life under transparent and accountable leadership.
Take PNG back starts with good leadership.

Restore link:
WOODLARK Island is one isolated island in Milne Bay who used to enjoy Digicel coverage several years back.
Digicel also made the mistake of placing untrained technical persons to look after the towers at both Kabat and Sinamat.
The result is obvious: the two towers are useless now – Sinamat went off air two years ago while the other one this April.
There is no leadership to take on this issue once and for all.
Can the Member for Samarai- Murua or the minister for communication do something to restore this vital link for your long suffering people?
