Bold move supported:
I REFER to your front page story yesterday (Oct 7) – ‘K1.5 bill cut in spending’. The Prime Minister and Treasurer should be commended for this bold move. It takes strong political will to make such a decision and is morally right. Simply, we have been living beyond our means. It’s time to bring back the Moral Rearmament Movement (MRA) principles practiced by our early leaders from 50s to 70s during LMS and Papua Ekklesia period, that saw tangible difference in development at village, district and provincial levels. MRA was a bible based movement complimenting the work of the Church with strong spiritual focus on love, purity, honesty and unselfishness. These moral principles drove leaders at the time to serve with excellence and make things happen at the community level.
