Be honest with PNG
PAPUA New Guinea appreciates the support from China in their humanitarian effort to help Papua New Guineans prevent themselves from the Covid-19. PNG has imported many contraband products from foreign countries from commodities such as low-standard manufactured food, clothes, textiles, shoes, electronic gadgets and others over the years. As a Christian nation, our honesty level should be maintained at a Godly level. Any nation that wants to help PNG should be honest with us.

Numbers game still on
I COMMEND former prime minister and Ialibu-Pangia MP Peter O’Neill for laying out the cards to redefine the cornerstone of a very robust political power adopted and improvised from the Westminster system of parliamentary democracy by numbers under the majority rule game. There is nothing to apologise for as the system has worked so well in the political power transition for a nation of thousand tribes. This month will be a test if the Government can still muster the numbers and pass important bills leading to next year’s elections. The real meaning of numbers game of PNG politics will be unveiled yet again.

Extend parliament term
I CALL on the Opposition Leader and Vanimo-Green MP Belden Namah to test the numbers on the floor of parliament in the April session by moving a motion suspend all parliamentary standing orders and take a vote to extend the term of parliament by another six months due to the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the normal preparations of next year’s election.
