The current economic turmoil affects everyone of this nation, whether employed or unemployed, company or Government alike. This is because PNG is prone to global economic circumstances to generate enough revenue for its coffers to sustain every department or empower developments, etc. When Government is facing crisis, it automatically affects existing companies, business houses, and all citizens of this nation. This month is a pressure month for both parents and students, reason being that some cannot register on time because of lack of financial capacity. Some sponsorship cheques from extractive companies, business houses, local MPs and provincial governors are yet to reach respective tertiary institutions. Therefore, this article is seeking wisdom of university and college registrars, heads of governing councils, chancellors, and other relevant bodies to please consider and extend registration week.

Please investigate:
We, the long-serving and hardworking teachers of Central, were displaced by appointing authorities of Central education division. There is clear evidence of nepotism in advertised positions on the National Gazette applied at the time last year. We have all right under the Constitution to serve in our 22 provinces, as we left our sweet home, parents and served Central. Appointing authorities must consider serving teachers first before bringing in new teachers. We appeal to Governor Robert Agarobe and provincial administrator Gei Raga to investigate the corrupt practice. Education, health and agriculture are the key development areas our ‘smart governor’ has prioritised.
