Dorcas Levai is one of eight lucky winners in Stop & Shop’s ‘Win a Car’ Christmas promotion.
“This is more like Stop & Shop’s belated Christmas present to me and my family,” said Levai of the promotion that was run together with City Pharmacy Ltd.
Customers who spent more than K90 at any Stop & Shop or City Pharmacy outlet in Port Moresby were eligible to enter the competition.
Winners were drawn yesterday at Central Waigani.
“I am really excited,” Levai, who is Stop & Shop’s Koki winner, said.
“I thank God and my employer, the Department of Personnel Management, for giving me a Christmas voucher which allowed me to enter the promotion.”
Levai thanked Stop & Shop and City Pharmacy Ltd for rewarding its customer.
She said this would bring more customers to them.
John Paru, Stop & Shop’s Boroko winner, did not expect to win at all.
“This is unexpected and exciting for me,” he said.
“I didn’t know about the competition until the cashier who served me at the counter asked me to fill in my details, because there was an ongoing promo and I was eligible to enter.”
Paru said he was happy to have his own car and thanked City Pharmacy Ltd for everything.
“The promotion drew over 100,000 entries and created a lot of excitement in the stores, road shows and radio,” said Stop & Shop marketing manager Regina Narokobi.
She said CPL’s focus was always on supporting Papua New Guinea local farmers, PNG-Made products, and small-to-medium sized enterprises.
The six week promotion ran from Nov 19-Dec 31, 2018.
