LFA name squads for Besta Cup

THE Lae Football Association has named a strong 30-man and woman train-on squads for the Besta Cup challenge.
Association senior vice-president Roy Kamen announced the squad during the pre-season competition last weekend at LFA Park.
Kamen said the bulk of the players in the squads participated in the National Soccer League challenge.
“I am very confident with the squad because the bulk of the players selected are from the NSL competition,” he said.
He said three young and up-coming players from PNG Besta U23 were also included in the team.
They are Nigel Dabinyaba, Emmanuel Simon and Freddy Steven.
The men’s team are: Daniel Kali, Anton Pipi, Dennis Simon, George Gawi, Goroba Tawa, Lazarus Dapal, Rodney Talau, Philemon Yalu, Valentine Nelson, Armstrong Peka, Ian Yanum, Russel Nirik, Begen Yanum, Kou Liam, Gamang Sasame, Raymond Gunemba, Clarence Yonris, Troy Gunemba, Nico Mani, Jammy Hiob, Essa Nasa, Powih Powih, Felix Isom, Kiwo Tepa, Alex Foster, Michael Keith and Robin Igens.
The coach is Jack Jonathan, Ben Wallace (assistant coach), Rondal Ram (manager) Franco Nebas (media) and Roy Kamen (head of delegation).
The women’s team: Scholar Kaizam, Fidelma Watpore, Linah Hoeakii, Saunga Gorgom, Yasap Simon, Yvonne Gabong, Rose Ben, Rebecca Wilson, Judith Gunemba, Ruth Tambui, Edna John Thomas, Grace Steven, Dorcas Sesevo, Eleen Taito, Ikanau Powaseli, Meegan Gunemba, Stephanie Barnabas, Bozo Tawa, Janet Nuh, Anita Sal, Grace Lee, Sandy Birum, Zeenah Limbai, Michelin, Lous Mark, Talita Irakau, Hegga Teddy, Septhanie Satra, Therese Konde, Sandra Wayeli, Otti Atu (head coach and Carol Yawing (team manager).
