Lihir bans cooked food

 THE people living inLondolovit on Lihir have now stopped from selling cooked food and  chewing betelnut has been banned at their only market. 

This was introduced early this month, more than 13 years after opening for business in 1997.

It is not known why it had taken the Pertztorme Women’s Association (PWA), which collects market fees from vendors, so long to take this healthy approach for the market’s upkeep but the action had been commended by vendors and customers alike.
